Blech

Had a rather rotten night last night. Nothing I really want to rehash, but it took some energy. Ended up arriving home unexpectadly late - 10:00PM - but choreography waits for no man... er... make that, no Baby Doll. Summoned up the last forces of energy and did the following:
dancy details )
Must procure rest of costume bits. Devil head is underway, need to get fabric for mummy and for devilish flames, need to get cute, easily removable dress for Satan's dance. Need to get lots of black or red satin for Satan's dance. Need to get character shoes. Hopefully a run to Garment District before rehearsal will take care of dress and maybe I can hit Teddy's then, too. Time to hit dharma for the rest...

Woke up too tired today to work out. Can still feel the ass-kicking from Budokon yesterday, so don't feel too bad.

Got coffee at Flat Black today. Noticed they are low on fliers and happily replenished stack.

Got two packages today. I've been doing so much shopping and Internet ordering lately that I've lost track of what package is coming where. Anywhere it looks like I must deal with UPS gets shipped to work, as a rule, because they are such a pain about signatures. Others, if they seem to be work-questionable, get shipped home.

Incoming:
- a KVM cable for my 2nd computer. First was broken making a nasty yellow color sometimes
- a Folkwear pattern - I may go nuts and make a tango style dress if my trip to Garment District on Sunday is a wash. Have tried enough discount and second hand stores with an open mind to feel justified. Anyhow, I've always wanted the pattern, and this is a good excuse. Yay Folkwear for fast shipping - I ordered this on Monday or Tuesday.

More orders pending:
- Kama Sutra is coming from a cheap-cheap store
- yet another Geisha biography is coming (I'm such a sucker for these)
- order to www.silkconnection.com for cotton gauze and 5mm silk habatoi - they've been a real pill to [livejournal.com profile] mermaidlady, but I'm desperate. Dharma is out of the two things I need, and fabrics.com and discountfabrics.com don't have anything that looks close. Crossing fingers.

And, hopefully [livejournal.com profile] new_man got me some a head. A styrofoam one that is. As I was leaving last night, he kindly offered to grab one online as he would be heading back to his computer.

It's kind of like Christmas. But without the thinking lovingly of others or being happy with whatever I recieve... so... um... maybe not like Christmas. I think I'd panic if I saw a Santa Claus just now...
