Wierd dream + minutia
Dec. 9th, 2005 09:48 amWoke in the morning after a really wierd dream. The whole dream was me climbing into bed and out of clothing with my first serious boyfriend (yes,
nerd_chik, it is who you are thinking of). He looked like the young Adonis that he was when we were dating 10 years ago (my... it really has been that long...). And, midway into foreplay, we were interrupted by a cartoon mouse which insisted on climbing into bed with us, thus ruining further attempts to get our groove on. The mouse was sort of a low-brow cartoon mouse - not really WB or Disney - it was dressed in a red super-hero costume and was pretty cheeky.
Very odd. I don't think about him often. I had no reason to last night. And where the hell did the mouse come from? But somehow the post-project relief process, my brain came up with this.
-
mermaidlady - I have 3 books for you from
safirasilv - Charles Lint that she had on hand
- dry cleaning picked up, now I can continue sewing sequins on the Cuban Pete dress, this was part of the post-Thanksgiving, desmokifying process, so I am absurdly happy that it is back and nice and clean
- snow, snow, snow we have full on Decemberness going on here in Boston. People are driving really stupid near me - slow, but not careful.
- I'm planning an order to www.cheeptrims.com - let me know if you want anything and live near me. It takes $65 to make an order, so if you just want a little something, jumping on to a group order is a good plan.
- It occurs to me, as the frenzy of Baby Dolls & WPI ebbs, that I never did join Lockleven for an A&S day... hey,
lady_cassia - shall we book something?
Dance class was lovely last night. All about review and just getting a chance to get our bodies back in the groove. Medicine Wheel was technical, but not in the usual hippy bouncy way. And with the cold we all seemed to feel a little creaky. To alleviate that, we ran through a bunch of group dance exercises and then a few of our shared choreographies. It's amazing how much I *haven't* memorized some of these dances - after all my bragging about memorization earlier this week. He, he. The universe is clearly smacking me down for my hubris. :)
Possibly more important was getting to see the ladies with no pressing business at hand. I get so hard-driving sometimes that I forget that one of the best things about dance is dancing with people you like. Dancing for rehearsals and ambitious technical goals is good, too, but a big reason I do dance is that it's a good way to get the body moving AND see my friends. Must remember that second part. ;)
Evil Anne just went to a big dance conference last month full of very tantalizing workshops... soon we hope she will start transmitting it so we can integrate it into the Borg of dance styles that we call American Stolen.
