Now... onto something positive
Dec. 8th, 2005 03:13 pmnow that I've gotten that little while out of my system...
The baby dolls have a fun line-up coming your way!
BIG NOTE!!! We have learned that it may be a regular thing that Axis nights start AFTER a band goes on downstairs on Thursdays. So... from now on, Baby Doll night at Axis will start at 10:00 PM, not 9:00. Which also means we push our shows back. Instead of 10/11/12ish, shows will be more 10:30/11:30/12:30ish, although the doors still close at 1:00.
Upcoming:
- Thursday, 12/15 -- AXIS w/ The Electrolux Combo. Electrolux Combo is a fabulous 4-peice band with drum, sax, bass, and keyboard. They'll be doing a selection of jazzy Christmas hits along with some of their own fabulous music. Yay! Live music! Yours truly is dancing to their version of Let it Snow.
Thursday, 1/19/06 -- AXIS - "The Eighth Wonder of the World". Go around the world the Boston Baby Dolls. Yours truly, world dance affianado dance geek girl, will be having a blast with this.
Sunday, 1/29/06 -- THE PARADISE LOUNGE Doors Open at 8 p.m., ends around midnight. Fabulousness TBD, but it will definitely be Fabulous.
Thursday, 2/16 -- AXIS The theme is 'Carnival of Love'. What could be better than Valentine's day you ask? Why Mardi Gras, of course! But what could be better than Mardi Gras... why a 2 in 1 Valentine's day meets Mardi Gras combo!
Aiiieeee. A busy month. Can't wait. I'll also be doing some SCA stuff:
- Al Hafla - Saturday, January 21, Barony of Bhakail. If you are a Middle Eastern dancer or geek, do plan to come some year... it was just fabulously fun last year.
- 12th Night - a definite maybe - Jan 14 - it's Settmoure Swamp - which is a very cool Barony, but also a wee bit of a haul. Sanity ponderance pending.
- Birka - January 27 - another definite maybe, it's close, it's easy, and it's a good chance to see people
And also, probably Arisia - January 13-15. I've requested some panels to be a panelist for - we'll see.
That pretty much does a number on January. So... if there's something I said I'd do, or you thought I was doing or such... let me know... I probably am not remembering it right now, and I have a few tentatives on here that could fall off the map.
