OK... seriously - I love that you go and research and recreate an era with support, but mostly on your own. You don't have a gang of noble Romans nearby pushing you into it, and only you know how hard it was to learn what you learn. I empathize and realize the bonuses and minuses to being the one and only in a social set.

I also love that you still find time and take interest in learning other stuff - doing both lots o'Roman and bunches of other stuff is terrific feat.

I like that you boldy state your opinion and stand by it with minimal concern and consideration to how other people are going to react. You're not concerned with other people jumping on your bandwagon, you're much more concerned with you, yourself, being on the bandwagon you feel is "right", even if you're standing there all alone.

It takes a lot of guts to do that.

That's what Spenser and Susan (two fictional characters whom you don't read, but mermaidlady and I do) refer to as 'rightness of self' -- probably quoting someone else. It's a quality I admire very stongly, but which I don't often feel like I exhibit.

I like that you try to do stuff, even when you believe it'll be really hard, and even when you're really scared of failing. I think you don't realize all the stuff you can do, and with practice will do really well. Anyone who tries to climb the really tall mountain stands a really good chance of phenomenal successes.
