Lunch & dinner = healthy. Managed to go out for Japanese Fancy Buffet with [livejournal.com profile] wren13 and ate 1 plate of veggies and fish, 1 peice of sweet potato tempura, and 1 very small cup of green tea ice cream.

Then survived belly dance class brought to you be the letter S (for sweat), the letter F (for Femmy Egyptian) and the letter E (for Evil Anne). We tease Anne about being lots of evil wrapped up in an adorable package, but in reality, I'm very gladd she's kicking our butts. It's helping me clean up a lot of stuff that was going to pot.

Had a nice talk with the Dad on the way home. He let me rant a bit, which was wonderful.

Got up early! (ug) and practiced Indian dance. Having felt a little hypocritical on Tuesday when I made [livejournal.com profile] jezebelpussycat sweat and stomp it out, while I sat, sweat free, and clacked my sticks and kept her rhythm count, I decided to kick my own ass today. Did:

- stretches
- full tat'adavu - was pleased to see that I complete the series, end to end, sore in the thighs, but breathing with control, with a nicely elevated heart rate.
- Pushpanjali - the latest, hardest choreography. Haven't lost too much. But it really shows which move I left off the intense practice with - the quality drops off considerably.
- 1st half of a mutaiya adavu - the one in Pushpanjali that had gone kerwoogey (a technical term)

That was a pretty solid 20 minutes of Indian dance, which kept my heart rate up AND did some good anaerobic work on my thighs, I think. I notice that my calves are pretty good, but there's some not-muscle on my thighs that I think may be some chocolate desserts and possibly a few cream sauces. Bye bye wobbly bits.

I may have to accept the fact that I will always have thighs with which I could crush a man's head. The Indian dance is too intense to allow for cute, lithe little nymph-like thighs. But that's OK - there are many thigh-heavy gymnastes and figure skaters - such the nature of some activities. I sure as anything am not gonna give up Indian dance.

By the same token, I shall be interested to see if I actually loose weight. It may be that I will not. I will simply be toned. The last time I weighed less than this, I did not do 2-3 forms of dance intensely. Must keep that in mind when stepping on scale.

Finished up by going to the bakery for Friday breakfast (today's my day for the next few months). I went to the local Irish place, grabbed 10 rather evil-looking muffins, 10 Really Evil Danishes, and a loaf of raisin bread. Raisin bread it was for me. It was delicious.
