Court and coincidences
Aug. 31st, 2005 12:41 pmSo...
tpau apparently had a traffic court date today, too. And our speeding tickets were about a week or two apart - but in different districts - hers is on the Pike, so state police - mine was on Morrisey Blvd in Dorchester, which meant the West Roxbury Courthouse.
Even stranger - we had the same outcome - they had lost my citation, and so I'm "not responsible" since they have no evidence on which to prosecute me. I've gone to a speeding ticket hearing three times - this is a first for me. But the same thing happened to two other people in the same session as me - so maybe someone in the paperwork filing system had a REALLY off day! In the past - one time I talked them out of it, one time they weren't convinced, and this time they lost my paperwork. All in all - not a bad rate of return. I'm thrilled. I really didn't need those points on my license.
And I'm back at work, and fed, in time to get more document work done before a 2:00 meeting!

Date: 2005-08-31 06:40 pm (UTC)I suppose it's good - that EQA is so anal that I actually fix silly things like making sure that intro sections use small roman numberal page numbers, that the main body uses arabic numerals, and that the arabic numbering starts with number 1. But... it seems goofy that we actually DO have a guy whose job it is to catch stuff like that.
Hmph.
