Dancy soon

so... it's been easily over 3 weeks since I had any dance lesson at all. Quite alot more than that since I had two dance classes a week on a regular basis. I've been feeling dumpy, achy and ungraceful and that's probably why.

Going to ME dance class tonight. As god is my witness!! and I will do some dancing and burn some calories.

Even ManRay last night was a bummer. They had a mopey Goth band called Death In June playing, rather than the usual mix of gothy/industrialy/fetishy/80's blend that I usually love dancing to. I suppose not liking Death In June means that I need to hand in my Goth card, as they are apparently a well-known, long-term band...

Heh... little known secret, Lakshmi: I just finished touring & recording a song on bass with Blood Axis, which is a contemporary of Death in June. Honestly, I don't know DiJ's music, but we're supposed to be in the same category of 'fascist-experimental," according to our detractors, (who do seem to be a bit confused.)

Anyway, highlight of the tour was playing a show outside Florence which ended in an 80's goth/industrial/pop disco scene. Everyone but myself & quite possibly the drummer was appalled. Heh. I am so starting a bar band and playing fun music.
