Lady Lakshmi Amman
A 5-day class on the "pure dance" (nritta) portion of the southern Indian dance known modernly as Bharata Natyam. Students who come all 5 days will walk away with a beginner's choreography to practice, but walk-ins are welcome any day.
Mon 15,10:00 AM, Orluk Oasis; Tue 16,10:00 AM, Orluk Oasis; Wed 17,10:00 AM, Orluk Oasis; Thu 18,10:00 AM, Orluk Oasis; Fri 19,10:00 AM, Orluk Oasis.


There's just me in "Dance: Asian". It helps to have friends in the right places, right Asim? :)

Right... the geek in me thinks you shouldn't have a sub group with just one member - it's messy. Why group if there's only one member? The math geek in me would have made a "Non-European" dance track... and just yammed me in there. But it's nice that someone realized Indian does not equal Middle Eastern - I'll take that as a good sign and run with it.

Yeah. To quote a good quote - "but they can use Lady, that's a title of mine, too. I have an AOA, after all".

Apparently the class writer got a little Lady-happy - Morwenna has also been Lady-ized.

Huh. I had thought perhaps all the titles had been normalized to Lord/Lady, which would be fine... But having some titled and some not (presuming that you included appropriate titles in the information you gave them) is a little annoying. On the other hand, the title shouldn't *actually* matter that much in the class context...

True. Particularly as I don't have a title bearing A&S award, beyond being a "Lady" because of the Maunche.

It's a strange mix - some are listed as Mistress/Baroness, some as Lady, and some aren't titled at all...

I'm not inclined to bitch, as I didn't use the standard form - I signed up out of the loop, mailing info to Asim, the Middle Eastern/Asian dance coordinator. So it's got several degrees of separation.
