OoooooooOOOoooo....
I do not need more technically challenging, time-consuming dance forms....

If I keep saying it, will I believe it?

Crappy video quality, but freaking fantastic. Yeah, I know they are guys and boys are assembled differently than girls... but oooOOoooo.... Most of this I can't even hope to fake for the Baby Dolls... but the ones I want to come back to for inspiration are:
- second row, left
- third row, right - I might be able to do the first two of the three moves shown here
In the second clump 1/2way down the page:
- first row left
- first row 2nd from right
- second row 2nd from right
Apparently women do no defy gravity in this dance form. And there is some very sane footwork in that second clump - fast... but sane... or at least saner...
Umm...
Go halfway down: http://www.barynya.com/canary.htm
This lady has a giant sunflower on her head.

Has nothing to do with the dance I'm looking for.. but ooooo it's pretty. I love the handwork of the women, and the footwork of the men. Some of the male footwork is blindingly fast, but it is still incredibly manly. All of this is a nice reminder that strength and dexterity in Slavic dance styles do well so show masculinity.
Ahh for a billion lifetimes so I could a billion dance styles...
Oh goodness... they have more of the first page:
http://www.barynya.com/video/video_clips.stm
The first two are the same clips, but I'm also intrigued by:
- the sailor's dance
- Kalinka
- BARYNYA - from the small collection of samples at the bottom
- Zemlyanichka Yagodka
- "The Peddler" (Korobeiniki) - I love the guys foot-touching thing here... hmm...
That guy in thos last 3 clips is fabulous.... I want to him when I grow up.
Um... when I grow up and turn into a man... Um... maybe in another lifetime. I'm enjoying being female in this one...
