Had a lovely night, which made up for the somewhat sucky morning. Got to spend the evening with Pax Industria, Jezebel Pussy Cat, Mermaid Lady and NewMan - what a congenial little gathering. We had tidbits throughout the night - salmon, pate, cucumber & onion in goo, horseradish, brown bread, and other tasty Russian type stuff. And some very nice wine. All of which Newman retreived from the store and whipped together amazingly fast with his usually kitchen witchery.
Polished off hour d'oevres and good conversation with hot tubbing until we were fully prunified. While running to a hot tub in a bathing suit in 20 degree weather is Not Fun, sitting in one and baking the cold out of your bones is definitely worth it.
I don't think I've laughed so hard in quite some time. It was very much the perfect evening.
(and I pried the cherished Rising Moon/Dreda cookies away from NewMan's clutches)
And I have another such to look forward to, as Jez and I are going to Masala Art tonight as a post-finals celebration! That's my favorite Indian restaraunt, which a fancy dancy prix-fix meal that involves a chef cooking a dinner to your whims, and teaching you about Indian food. They also have great wine and I know the serving crew so well I'm like a member of the family. We're gonna get all dolled up and have ourselves a girl's night on the town! Whee!!!
I am definitely tired. It was a slightly late night, but I think mostly my body is just exhausted. Been burning the candle at both ends for too long... I guess it'll just take a while to recover.
