Well... I'm up and about (as of 12:30), I spent an hour setting up my operating systems code, and built and ran as it's supposed to - a minor triumph. Now I'm reading up on the project, and what I'm supposed to do, and I'm completely daunted. I still haven't really grokked how all this stuff is managed and how/where I do what I'm supposed to do. I know... a half hour's worth of reading for a 7-week chunk of work is probably not enough... but I feel so shamefully clueless.
It's been a very long time since I felt this way.
I keep telling myself:
- the REAL assignment was to come to class with questions
- grad school grading is not finite - if I'm actively trying to comprehend this, I will at least end up with a B.
- this is the last one. Really.
