General Dynamics will match all employee contributions, to The General Dynamics Disaster Relief Fund, dollar for dollar. There is no limit to the amount the Corporation will match, and contributions are tax deductible. In addition, the company will make a donation of $1 million.

Sometimes I get really annoyed at the stodginess of my company - "flex time" not flexible, a dress code that while not well-stated makes it clear that interesting colors of hair and facial peircings are Right Out, and a focus on Wholesome Family Goodness that sometimes excludes the intentionally childless...

But right now, I'm very glad for the old-school charm - it's nice to see my big company both organize and put money toward a relief fund. The no-limit thing is a lovely touch.

I really like it when GD is classy.

Let's see...

Friday was [livejournal.com profile] jezebelpussycat's Birthday Dinner - we went to Legal Seafood downtown in Copley Square. The food and friends were lovely - it's been a while since I was at a nice, elegant dinner with a gang. Prices were a little shocking - glad to pay it for Ms. Jezebel, but not what I'd do on a weekly basis. We followed up with an attempt to go to Finale, which was obscenely crowded, so we ended up across the street at the Italian place. All in all, very nice - though a little later of a bedtime than originally planned. Ah well.

Well... since LJ is a good place to rant, and as I catch up on older posts, I feel a need to rant, and here seems like a good place.
