Found myself having a little fascination with ( Goth Lolitas )

Went to dance class last night. We are riding the wave of a sucesssful hafla performance last Saturday, and planning out more ( Pennsic Roadshow )

Tonight it will be time to prep for the Palio - print out a signup sheet for gate, have a form for documentation information for folks who didn't think to bring documentation with them, practice my own peice, plan when to arrive... And if I'm really super-duper lucky, I may get a chance to silicon seal the bathroom floor tonight. Wheeeeee???

Even more plotting and scheming

I am reminded by Morwenna's to-do list that I just might want to throw out a few more plots and schemes that are hardened or need to harden in the upcoming month:
- Palio tomorrow! - Be there or be... air conditioned. If you miss it, you may avoid heatstroke, but at the price of missing all the cool stuff Carolingia is doing - performing arts, dance-dance-dance, and a fabulous feast.
- Sari Party Sunday - from 11AM-5PM my friend Lauren is hosting a party in Arlington. Chances are the information has already come by email, but if not, email me and I'll try to get it to you. This is like a tupperware party, but with saris. It's wonderful to get a chance to hang out with friends AND see pretty fabric.
- Recording w. Richie - The well-known Carolingian archer Li Kung Lo also runs a recording studio out of his house - http://www.bardwire.com/index.htm. I'll be working with him Wednesday night next week and at some point on July 4th weekend, for the purpose of making practice tapes for Sweating with Lakshmi at Pennsic. How cool is that? Professional-quality tapes for sharing with students! I never thought I'd get to play in a real recording studio... hot damn! Must plan an agenda for the session, so that we do in descending order the most important and then less important tracks.
- Choli Workshop - this is the bare bones of an idea, and I don't yet know when I'll manage it - getting free time boggles the mind. But I've got at least a solid 3-4 people who have simultaneously expressed interest in having a choli pattern. And my recent work in that department is giving me hope that we could do a day of choli fitting with a small group of people. Write me email if you're interested, and give me thoughts on days that work for you in the next month... it may or may not happen... we'll have to see.
