Networky goodness
Jun. 1st, 2005 09:19 amSo... I'm home, waiting for the Plumber, having destroyed my bathroom... yet again.

So... I'm home, waiting for the plumber.
In the midst of me destroying my bathroom,
pax_industria came over to hang out while
jezebelpussycat does dancing with me. I ask if at some point, he'd be able to network my house with the same neato LinkSys router he has (wired and wireless in one web interface, groovy). He ready to go NOW! He runs to store and has the router configured in *2* hours - by the time dance is done. Sweet.
We hooked up the new roomate after dinner. My house finally has a real network, and multiple computers can be online at once. From anywhere in the house!
I, in all my thinking, managed to mess myself up, though. Saw card, put card in computer, docked computer, and wondered why card not working.
Duh. Because the computer docking station is networked, and it so it has a wired port. Doesn't need to connect by wireless. D'oh.
So... feeling like a genius, I go to work, on my spiffy network, next to my sucky bathroom.
