Trapped in Arizona
May. 17th, 2005 01:22 amWhen you're exiled in Arizona, Live Journal is pretty neat. I'm out here this week on business... delivering a product for the third time in a year. I'm in the middle of nowhere, and have now determined that the most interesting thing in town is my computer and the Internet. :)
Day was long (nearly 11 hours) coming on top of travel on Sunday, 6 hours Saturday and 13 hours Friday. I understand the tradeoff of being a professional - many days I can have long lunches or leave a little early, if there's something I REALLY want to do... but this sucks. Today was rough - the process did not go smoothly, although the team of us and the customers stayed positive. My bosses are happy, and I suppose that's what matters.
I don't mind long hours out here so much - I have dialup, which is making me a little nutty. At least the hotel has a hot tub and enough space to practice dance. We even share 1 car, so driving around looking for something fun in the evening isn't exactly a simple prospect.
Well... off to do something mindless, like embroidery.
