So... realizing that summer war season is really here, and I'll be in the car a bunch, I thought it might be time for me to finally take a crack at some of those courses that [livejournal.com profile] jducouer speaks of:

http://www.teach12.com/teach12.asp

I looked through and found a handful that I like, but figure it's wise to start with one. Anyone have any recommendations?

- Terror of History: Mystics, Heretics, and Witches in the Western Tradition
- Life and Writings of C. S. Lewis
- Explaining Social Deviance

Are there tricks to the format of the courses that one may be better? Anyone have any of them and willing to loan them? These are all courses on sale, which was the plan.

I'm actually not totally disgusted by their non-Western collection. They don't have a lot on India, but they have some basic 101 stuff, that seems to be done pretty well. None is on sale, though, so I shall not indulge.

Um, if you get Social Devience, and it's on CD, *I* would like to please borrow it.

Not sure if that helps, though.

I have a whole lot of their ancient/medieval history and philosophy stuff. Drop me an email, and I'll send you a link to my inventory. Everything I'm done listening to myself is available for loan...

The CS Lewis sounds interesting, as does the King Arthur and Chivalry course.
