Made it to class, 5 minutes late, to find that nearly everyone else either:
- hasn't started (or isn't asking any questions at all)
- hasn't finished test1a, when we were supposed to be starting in on test1c this week

The guy who sits behind me seems in about the same place I am - on test 1c. So... I'm in the upper third now. He and I both agreed, though, that we know we don't have time to mess around - we both have crazy busy late Octobers. But.. I'm generally reassured. This week was on scheduling algorithms - and I love a good algorithm. That was kind of fun.


Got up in time to do 20 minutes of yoga. Moved on to Wai Lana's "Firming" tape, being a little toasty on the "burning" tape. This is a good ass kicker. It's still too long for my time frame, but I could feel when I was doing the stretch right, and I am nicely sore in those areas. Might try to get up earlier to try doing more with it. Still waiting on pesky Budokon tape.

Feeling really good about the body today. Some of it is that the scale has read 190 for several days running - my current low for the past year, and has stayed low for longer than ever. Some of it is that on the way to my cube today, I noticed that it's possible my butt may be cute. Clearly they will be committing me soon for staring at my butt in lab glass windows, but that's OK.

That's rather rare for me. First, I think of myself as "smart not pretty" - not that I require a bag over my head to leave the house, but that my main contribution to society is mental prowess, not being good to look at. Even the dance forms I do, I do in a smart way - technical, theatrical, story telling stuff - the kind of thing that is enhanced by large amounts of activity above the neck. :)

Second - Indian dance developed a "second ass" for me. Other Indian dancers have noticed the ass-tightening phenomena as well. They, however, had virtually no ass to begin with, so having a nice, rock-solid ass was a definite perk. I, being built like a good Irish lass, HAD an ass. A flabby, squishy, good for hard benches ass. Then I got this second ass of Indian dance muscle, which was convenient for dancing. But it gave me a lot more ass than I really wanted or needed. I was copasetic with the flabby ass. But having the muscle there to compare it to did not bode well for the chocolate mousse storage facility that my ass had previously been. Now... it wasn't awful, just rather intersting to note on the rare investigation session that there was two components to my butt - Indian dance muscle, and chocolatte mousse storage.

I believe I may have significantly reduced the chocolate mousse component to my butt. Yay!

Having removed a large chunk of second, evil ass, I will endeavor to procure a second, evil head. :P
