... of finer fitter Lakshmi.
I'll call yesterday $5 of fitness - $1 for eating well, $2 for resisting evil cake & sherbert, $2 for working out in the morning. I'm trying to use

to keep a food diary, since it calculates calories for me. Anyone know of a better one? This one is slow in it's searching for foods, and does not take into account as interesting a food selection as I eat - for example the word "curry" isn't in there, and the idea that "mixed vegatables" may be something besides canned or frozen is foreign to them.
Interestingly, the yoga seems to have done good things for my body - I should have been in massive pain last night due to regularly scheduled programming, and wasn't. Some discomfort, but not enough to even mention getting Motrin. Nice. Was so inspired I tried it again today. Still frustratingly too hard, but I do think it's helping. I'm no fool, though, I'm taking Motrin too - I like redundant systems. But I'm feeling pretty keen with the lovely post-shower clean feeling, AND the happy workout feeling AND the no-fear painkillers are here feeling.
And I have pants! (for dancing in) yay pants!
Had a lovely dinner with
siriel, she's a very fun eating companion, and we hung out at Lizzie's until their closing time. Really, really lovely to just hang out with someone I don't see enough of. I need to do that more.
Ordered:
- Cameron Shayne - Budokon for Beginners
- Budokon for Weight Loss Collection
on recommendation of
jezebelpussycat, who claims it's a good quick ass-kicker. I have little to no interest in martial arts, although being able to knock some heads is a nice perk - but I like the idea of a high-energy fitness routine developed around yoga and meditation. And the second in the series - the wieght loss DVD - also comes with a guide and eating suggestions. Will see about that - depends on how well it meshes with the American Heart Association's guidance. If it's "only eat things that are orange" - forget it. :)
