The good thing about work is...
Jun. 13th, 2005 11:39 amAir Conditioning.
Like the other Moombites, my primary impression of Midsummer's is heat. Mostly we drank water, and sweated. I also got
lady_sprite into a sari/choli combo, and managed to fit a choli pattern to her, for future use. On Sunday, I found a way to put another fancy pendant chain on my Moon medallion and then came home to teach class to
jezebelpussycat, who thankfully was running as late as I was. That gave me time to get the AC unit in my bedroom window and to take a shower, and be ready at the same time she and
pax_industria arrived.
Slept in blessed AC. Ahh... the AC and the flushing toilet are neck in neck for things that give me joy.
Other news:
- new work project began Friday, wrap up with old project is now really done.
- still may have to travel anyway
- Padme and I are beginning to plan for a formal SCA-committed relationship at Pennsic
- school making me nutty with homework deadline and logistic issues
- class tonight for my other two dancing ladies
- tooth no longer sore - but still temperature sensitive
To do - must call oral surgeon and schedule the extraction. Need to decide whether or not to use serious anathesia or just be numbed up. Mostly a mental thing - not sure I want to be "there" for it... But not sure I want to have a long recovery. Must figure out when to do this. It doesn't help that I have two gigs in two weeks:
- June 18 - dancing ladies do Road Show - I am the singer! I really need my mouth for that!
- June 25 - the Palio - I do my final performance as Former Court Devadasi - I will sing something to accompany myself. Oy.

Date: 2005-06-13 05:24 pm (UTC)I'm almost at the point of thinking - "what the hell! Treat yourself!" - even if I can't get the insurance to pay...
Theoretically - if I don't get knocked out, I could be up and about on a mellow level the day after. If I do get knocked out, I should plan a day of dopy recovery.

I have had similar challenges remembering the underscore's for new_man and mermaidlady. Not even sure I got 'em right this time.
